The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for creating demand for Sight Sciences products within assigned territories, adhering to company and industry-compliant guidelines. This role involves developing and delivering effective educational and sales presentations to ophthalmic surgeons, differentiating products from current surgical glaucoma offerings. The position requires analyzing data, managing the territory with a business plan, including funnel management and forecasting, and staying informed about industry trends and competitive products. The Account Manager will also manage the territory budget, complete administrative tasks promptly, and communicate performance indicators and physician feedback to their manager. Attendance at sales training, meetings, conferences, and trade shows is expected. The role involves maintaining direct customer contact for optimal clinical outcomes, establishing and nurturing Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Future Key Opinion Leader (FOL) relationships. Pre-sale responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries to provide appropriate product literature and pricing, and influencing production and shipping schedules. Post-sale duties involve addressing customer inquiries regarding RMAs, status, and delivery, resolving issues with production, shipping, or invoicing, and determining the validity of warranty claims to schedule repair resources. The position requires supporting company goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485, and other applicable requirements. Maintaining a professional image with physicians, distributors, vendors, and colleagues is crucial.
