About The Position

This position involves performing construction stormwater inspections in the Central Tennessee and North Alabama regional areas. The role requires a self-directed individual with a strong technical understanding of general site development and construction methodologies, who is also willing and able to work outdoors. The technician will be responsible for identifying properly installed Best Management Practices (BMPs) and communicating any maintenance or modification needs verbally and in writing. Detail-oriented inspection noting site conditions and issues is crucial. The role also includes using proper PPE and safety equipment, completing inspections within time constraints, and inputting inspection data from a phone or tablet on-site. Additional tasks and duties may be assigned. Weekend availability is required at least twice a month if a rain event occurs, covering specific territories in Mississippi and Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction stormwater inspections in Central Tennessee and North Alabama.
  • Identify properly installed BMPs.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing areas where BMP maintenance and/or modification is needed.
  • Conduct inspections noting site conditions/issues.
  • Use proper PPE and safety equipment.
  • Complete inspections within permit and/or client directed time constraints.
  • Input inspections from a phone or tablet while on site.
  • Demonstrate leadership in all tasks and projects assigned.
  • Emphasize and promote Spectrum’s Vision and maintain a safe work environment.
