About The Position

Woolpert is hiring a Stormwater Engineer to join our dynamic Water Utilities group. This position will be responsible for hydraulic modeling and stormwater design and permitting. Qualified candidates will be key in supporting projects within our Utilities practice. This position is a hybrid work position primarily responsible for assisting with technical delivery and reporting on projects. This position will be part of a team engaging with clients across the Utilities Market in support of client objectives in the areas of Stormwater/Wastewater/Water Design, H&H Modeling, Surface Water Quality, Data Analytics, Asset Management, and related studies and analyses. This position will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in an engineering or environmental science program
  • Proven efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Desire to work in the field when needed, including wet weather conditions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Ability to interface effectively with clients, and other internal Woolpert resources.
  • Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AutoCad Civil 3D is preferred
  • Experience in GIS software is preferred
  • Stormwater plan review experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support various phases of our stormwater/wastewater/water projects
  • Field work around water, freshwater and marine, expected to be 40-60% of time.
  • Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables consistent with scope, schedule and budget.
  • Meet internal and external project deadlines.
  • Complying with clearly defined QA/QC measures.
  • Communicates issues affecting phase/task or project schedule, budget or quality and escalates unresolved issues to project manager, team leader, and/or discipline leader.
  • Delegating work to appropriate technical team members as necessary
