About The Position

MacKay, through Lowe Engineers, is seeking a full-time Stormwater Engineer to support municipal projects in Atlanta, Georgia, and neighboring municipalities. The role leads technical and regulatory activities for operating and maintaining a municipality’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4), including administering the MS4 permit program, coordinating infrastructure planning and maintenance, managing inspections and investigations, and collaborating across departments to protect water quality and reduce flood risk. Stormwater design experience is preferred, and travel to neighboring cities is required. The position combines approximately 85% office work and 15% field work. Field duties may involve uneven terrain, active construction sites, confined or limited-access areas, waterways, traffic, inclement weather, and typical municipal infrastructure hazards. The employee must use required personal protective equipment, safely conduct inspections, and, when assigned, respond to urgent stormwater incidents outside normal business hours. The posted U.S. pay range is $105,000–$125,000. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, supplemental and company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match, paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, employee ownership options, licensure expense coverage, and annual performance bonuses. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
