Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has a Temporary or Out-of-Class (OOC) opportunity for a professional to join the Environmental Stewardship and Compliance Division, as an OOC Senior Planning and Development Specialist to lead SPU's stormwater engagement work and community outreach efforts. This team is responsible for implementing a community-centered approach to engaging the public in storm drain care behaviors which protect and improve water quality and reduce flooding. This includes implementing programs that center the needs of those most impacted, particularly youth, communities of color, low-income, immigrant, and refugee communities. This Temporary (external)/OOC (internal) opportunity is expected to last approximately 6-12 months. This opportunity is open to all qualified candidates. External candidates are [initially] non-benefited and will receive premium pay in lieu of benefits.
