About The Position

The Storm Water Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local stormwater laws and permit requirements. This role involves preparing and reviewing technical reports, managing projects through the permitting process, conducting site inspections, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The manager will also be responsible for fiscal management, including budget preparation and cost tracking, and will communicate technical information to regulatory agencies and senior management.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience in stormwater management and technical reporting across multiple states is crucial.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products

• Professional engineering license
• Diploma in Environmental Studies
• A significant level of experience will be required, depending on the jurisdiction and specific role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects and municipal operations comply with federal, state, and local stormwater laws and permit requirements, such as the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
• Prepare and review technical reports, plans, specifications, and other engineering documents for projects.
• Guide projects through the permitting process and conduct site inspections and assessments.
• Work with other engineers, scientists, planners, and stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
• Prepare and present technical information to regulatory agencies and internal senior management through written and verbal communication.
• Prepare an annual budget and maintain accurate records of costs through the operating year with the ability to determine the most effective and efficient methods for achieving compliance.
