About The Position

The Stores Driver will be responsible for moving aircraft material around the airport, including dropping off parts to aircraft on the gate, dropping off/picking up COMAT from flights and regularly stocking the Ramp Stores area. They will also be responsible for picking up and dropping off aircraft material from local vendors across the Ottawa area.

Requirements

Must have a Class G driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be able to obtain Transport Canada Restricted Area Pass (RAIC)
Must be able to obtain Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP)
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite Programs
Must be organized and detail oriented
Must be able to work unsupervised
Must be able to lift minimum 70lbs
Minimum education - High School Diploma

Responsibilities

Ensure aircraft parts are dropped off to mechanics or aircraft on the gate in a timely manner to prevent or minimize delays.
Daily tracking of all incoming and outgoing COMAT (company material shipments) to ensure they are loaded or removed from aircraft on time.
Pick up and drop off aircraft material from local vendors across the local area.
Ensure Ramp Stores is fully stocked with all necessary inventory on a daily basis.
Maintain a daily delivery and pickup log as well as keeping records for proof of delivery.
Assist the Logistics Coordinator as well as the Aircraft Material Handlers as required.
Maintain company vehicles in a clean, safe and working condition, including refueling, washing, and reporting any maintenance issues.
Actively participating in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.
Other duties as assigned.
