About The Position

This full-time position works as part of the Grant Aviation maintenance team to ensure that our fleet is safe and runs efficiently. The position performs inventorying, shipping and receiving, and recordkeeping functions. As a Stores Clerk, you will work closely with the Maintenance Parts Manager and team to ensure coordination of parts and other materials in a safe and timely manner. This position is based in Bethel, AK and may occasionally require travel to outlying bases.

Requirements

  • Current Driver's License (Prefer applicants 25 years of age or older due to insurance requirements)
  • Ability to pass a DOT background check with no criminal history or disqualifying offenses in the last ten years to acquire a SIDA badge
  • Knowledgeable in utilizing computers to perform typical office tasks such as Microsoft Office, maintaining logs, inventories and purchasing records.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 70 pounds as well as stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with parts and shipping/receiving work preferred
  • Previous experience in an aviation parts and stores environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining inventory of spares, stock, and tools for Company aircraft in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Recordkeeping of spares, stock, and tools, including shelf-life and calibrated tool tracking, in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
  • Coordinating with the Manager of Purchasing and Stores in maintaining proper stock levels.
  • Preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Performing receiving inspections on incoming parts, materials, or rotables.
  • Cross-training for the position of Purchasing Agent, Stores Clerk, and Expeditor, and perform the duties of each position when needed.
