About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Area Dietitian or Designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Stores Attendant - Stores is responsible for: organizing and maintaining stock rotation; carrying or transporting supplies to designated areas; filling supply requisitions and delivering to designated areas; organizing and maintaining storage areas in a neat and clean condition; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Six (6) months experience in a food services area
- Grade 10 education
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good personal cleanliness
- Ability to work accurately
- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to adjust to extreme changes in temperature for short periods of time throughout the day
- Ability and willingness to work in extreme cold and crowded conditions for long periods of time
- Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
