About The Position

The Stores Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, and supporting store operations. Associates may assist all departments, including photo and beauty, and may assist pharmacy personnel or work shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities. The position is part-time, with 28 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity sufficient for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal and reading or visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
