About The Position

The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, reviewing, labeling, arranging and supplying goods, materials and equipment. Supply tools as requested. Processes data for incoming and outgoing products. Keep materials, equipment and spare parts storage areas neat and clean to facilitate better tracking and to support the performance of the Procurement department. Coordinate mine-related engineering projects, including managing internal project employees, external contractors and support. Support Raw Materials Manager in assigned mine planning and processes and additional Tracks incoming and outgoing spare parts, material and equipment. Interacts with users and suppliers. Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current in compliance with GCC policy. Maintains good communication with users and suppliers. Supplies materials as requested and processes data on a daily basis. Makes sure data entry is accurate and complete. Properly code and process each item or spare part into the system. Receives, inspects, identifies and arranges received material, equipment, and sign supplier's documentation for acceptance. Inspect all incoming goods and materials for specifications and condition. Label and place in correct location. Reject or return goods and materials if they do not meet specifications. Perform required inventory checks to ensure accuracy for all stock in all locations of the plant. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. Identify possible obsolete inventory. Recommends possible inventory levels and required item information. Organize excess material and junk sales at the request of the supervisor. Enters monthly cycle counts into SAP. Back up the Inventory Administrator as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Must have knowledge of industrial type materials, spare parts and equipment inventory.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in administration or accounting.
  • Five years’ experience in stockroom operation and inventory control or related field.
  • Experience with SAP, CI Process, and physical inventories.
