This position involves receiving and staging merchandise by department, marking it appropriately for placement within the facility, and delivering it to the correct department. The role includes stacking received merchandise on pallets or carts, completing requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notifying management of low stock levels. Responsibilities also encompass receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, rotating stock, and inspecting deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality. The attendant must refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items and adhere to food safety and handling policies. Duties include organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains, as well as removing empty pallets, cardboard, and trash. The role also requires reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, and adhering to company policies. This includes maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and communicating clearly and professionally with guests and co-workers. Developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and complying with quality assurance standards are also key. The job requires reading and visually verifying information, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs, are necessary. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.
