About The Position

The Storeroom Attendant performs regular (daily) assignments, individual project assignments, and participates on project teams to maintain storerooms and inventory control procedures. This role analyzes and evaluates new products, costing, and supplies. The attendant takes and maintains inventories of supplies, fills supply orders, and delivers supplies while checking invoices and packing slips against physical inventory. Accurate record-keeping is essential, and the attendant works and communicates with internal customers to meet their needs courteously and professionally. Responsibilities also include packaging and crating outgoing orders and mail to minimize damage/loss, conducting regular physical inventories and cycle counts, and entering data into the SAP system for accurate inventory counts. The role assists with receiving and inspecting supplies and merchandise, operates computer keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment, and lifts cartons and packages up to 50 pounds infrequently. The attendant recommends and initiates projects to improve business processes with vendors and internal customers. Additionally, the role answers incoming phone lines between 5:00 pm - 8:00 am and serves as a backup when HR personnel are unavailable. Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Superior skills in MS Office, and SAP.
  • Highly motivated individual with the desire to succeed through self-discipline and personal initiative.
  • Must be proactive, personable, flexible, and eager to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Must have ability to think and communicate ideas logically.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to inventory and cost reduction projects.
  • Committed to high standards of integrity, including respect and value for individual team member’s talents, skills, and individual qualities.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as in team environment.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving/storeroom helpful.
  • Previous experience or working knowledge in inventory and receiving a plus.

Responsibilities
