About The Position

This is a full-time position on the 1st shift in Bridgeport, WV. The role is a Non-DOT - Safety Sensitive Position. The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and storing supplies, tools, and equipment, and ensuring the storeroom is clean and safe. This role also involves operating warehouse equipment, preparing items for shipping, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in inventory management systems and relevant computer software
Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (typically up to 30 pounds) and traverse the storeroom efficiently
Familiarity with safety regulations and proper handling of materials

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in storeroom or warehouse operations is preferred but not always required

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records of supplies, tools, and equipment, updating databases and reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and records
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, noting any damages or discrepancies
Sort, label, and store items in designated locations, ensuring accessibility and proper organization
Distribute materials according to requisition forms and assist other departments with supply requests
Conduct routine physical inventories and periodic audits to maintain stock accuracy
Monitor stock levels, anticipate future needs, and order materials to maintain minimum inventory levels
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the storeroom, including proper disposal of expired or damaged items
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when required
Prepare and pack items for shipping with proper documentation and labeling
Perform other related duties as assigned, including running errands or assisting with warehouse operations
