About The Position

We are looking for a Storeroom and Procurement Supervisor in Jerome, Idaho. The Storeroom and Procurement Supervisor supports plant and equipment reliability by managing the spare parts inventory and sourcing parts and material. This role requires ensuring safe day to day operations of the MRO storeroom and associated storage areas, by maintaining optimal stock levels, forecasting needs, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a inventory management required.
  • Minimum 2 years Supervisory Experience.
  • Familiarity with MRO parts and inventory; ability to properly identify a wide variety of common MRO parts & components such as pumps, fans, motors, compressors, etc. required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement storeroom efficient workflow processes, procedures to ensure spare parts are available when needed.
  • Organize, clean and enter data into the CMMS and put processes in place with the team to order track and receive parts.
  • Identify critical spare parts and ensure they are available when required.
  • Establishing inventory controls.
  • Leverage the CMMS and develop a process that allows visibility on parts inventory and value.
  • Document parts receiving practices with inspection to verify parts match specs.
  • Create an efficient process to return unused parts to stores upon of work completion and a process to dispose or restock parts.
  • Review automatic reorder process to ensure it meets department requirements.
  • Follow all established policies, processes, procedures, and practices while achieving short-term, defined key performance indicators (KPIs) supporting plant goals and objectives.
  • Process and ensure accuracy for associated records and documentation for all Storeroom activity, including, but not limited to, requisition processing, procurement, receipt, storage, control, issuance, return-to-stock, inventory management, delivery of parts and services, shipping, and obsolescence.
  • Ensure that access to the storeroom is restricted to authorized persons only.
  • Develop a process that will ensure required parts and materials required for planned jobs are ordered and on hand before required delivery date.
  • Develop a process to Kit, stage, and deliver items for planned work orders.
  • Ensure the inventory accuracy by implementing process such as inventory cycle counts, obsolete part removal, non-moving-part level reviews and physical inventories.
  • Enter and update equipment Bills of Material (BOM), working with maintenance personnel to ensure accuracy.
  • Improve parts management in CMMS, working with Maintenance functions and others.
  • Manage repair part returns.
  • Manage day-to-day interface with OEM suppliers and vendors.
  • Keep Storeroom well organized, clean, uncluttered, with clear, up-to-date labeling.
  • Seek input from internal stakeholders for improvements on ease of use.
  • Develop a training program - Conduct new employee and annual refresher Stores access training.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Identify and recommend stores-related improvements and corrective measures to prevent discrepancies.
  • Use interpersonal and leadership skills to solve non-complex employee relations problems and issues associated with cooperation, team building, job assignments, etc.
