About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising the shipping and receiving activities of new and used Information Technology assets utilized by all State of Michigan departments and agencies, as well as Forms and Publications in the Warehouse. The Warehouse provides consolidated statewide forms, storage, and distribution of active inventory, and on-demand temporary storage space. In addition to warehouse responsibilities, this position oversees the physical pick-up and delivery of IT equipment via DTMB trucks. This position is responsible for the smooth operation of the storage area and throughput of assets by coordinating, scheduling work assignments, and setting the priorities of subordinate Storekeepers and Drivers. The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is 100% onsite and not eligible for a hybrid or remote work schedule.

Requirements

  • Six years of experience equivalent to a Storekeeper.
  • Four years equivalent to a Storekeeper E6.
  • Three years equivalent to a Storekeeper 7.
  • One year equivalent to a Storekeeper Supervisor 8.
  • Attach a detailed resume and cover letter.
  • If applicable, attach a copy of your official college transcripts and/or foreign degree evaluation with your application.
  • Applicants who possess foreign degrees must have their academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents.
  • Must submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and physical (if applicable) prior to appointment.
  • Criminal and driving records will be checked.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
