About The Position

The Lead Senior Storekeeper serves as a key member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Logistics team, supporting warehouse operations including receiving, storage, distribution, inventory control, surplus management, and gas cylinder operations. Reporting through Operations Management to Executive Director of SCM, this position is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse and distribution activities while ensuring efficient material handling, inventory accuracy, customer service, and regulatory compliance. In addition to performing core warehouse functions, the Lead Senior Storekeeper provides operational guidance and training to staff, including supporting warehouse package delivery training programs, onboarding new employees, and training team members on surplus, e-waste and recycling processes, warehouse management systems, and handheld devices. This role assists with quality control initiatives, communicates operational updates and reports to the immediate supervisor and leadership, and supports process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and service levels. The Lead Senior Storekeeper serves as a resource for surplus and materials management, including coordinating sorting, handling, shipping, receiving and customer communication related to inbound and outbound materials, e.g., pallets, plastic, and paper recycling. The position also oversees gas cylinder operations by ensuring cylinders are properly labeled, received from vendors, inventoried accurately, prepared for vendor pickup, and delivered on schedule. The Lead Senior Storekeeper troubleshoots operational and vendor-related issues, follows up on concerns to resolution, and promotes a strong culture of safety throughout the warehouse. Supports warehouse operations, surplus management, and route planning while promoting safe work practices, operational excellence, and customer-focused service. As needed, the Lead Senior Storekeeper performs labor service duties in both lead and helper capacities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials throughout the organization.
