About The Position

The Receiving/Shipping Inspector is responsible for all the Inbound and Outbound shipping activities for all the spares, consumables, STE, tools and GSM flowing through the integrated MHP warehouse. The role of the Receiving / Shipping Employee is to ensure that the receiving and shipping of any and all items at the integrated warehouse is performed in accordance with published procedures and instructions, established processes and stated guidelines. The role of Receiving/Shipping Inspector is an airworthiness role.

Requirements

  • Vocational diploma in the aviation industry or 4 years material management/warehousing experience with an aviation company
  • Knowledge of a Material Reporting System (MRP), like SAP is required
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of MS office suite
  • Soft skill: being a team player, resourceful, organized, being capable to prioritize in a short delay environment, customer oriented
  • Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program
  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s NATO Secret security clearance
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Receiving Inspector highly desirable
  • Military material warehousing experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism an asset

Responsibilities

  • To receive materiel at the integrated warehouse in accordance with a demand (Purchase or Repair Order)
  • To properly acknowledge and account for the material, including the identification of quantity and condition discrepancies (overages and shortages), in the computerized inventory management system
  • To ensure that the necessary documentation accompanies all items received and to ensure the information on the documentation is clear and legible
  • To conduct the receiving inspection in accordance with Canadian Forces airworthiness policies and procedures
  • To route all material to their appropriate storage location in the integrated warehouse or, in the case of urgent requests, to the appropriate maintenance consumption point
  • To prepare all the necessary shipping documentation and to ship all material with the appropriate shipping authority including ITAR and Dangerous Goods. Ensure all shipping documentation is clear and legible
  • To package and handle all material in accordance with the applicable instructions
