About The Position
Performs various duties in connection with the stocking of shelves in an Exchange store or storeroom. Duties include unpacking, segregating, and stocking shelves with merchandise, and potentially moving and stocking merchandise within the storage area. The role also involves price stamping merchandise, assisting with inventories by counting stock, and maintaining cleanliness of storage and sales areas. Additional duties may include assisting customers with bagging and wrapping purchases. The position operates under general supervision, with specific instructions provided for new or unfamiliar tasks, and completed work is checked for adherence to instructions. Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- No experience is required.
- High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
- Must receive Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Unpacks, segregates, and stocks counter and/or shelves with merchandise in accordance with established instructions.
- May be required to move and stock merchandise within the storage area as necessary.
- Price stamps merchandise.
- May operate a price tag machine.
- Assists in the conduct of periodic inventories by counting stock items remaining on shelves.
- Assists in keeping storage and sales area clean and orderly.
- May assist sales personnel in bagging and wrapping customer purchases.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
