About The Position

As a Systems Monitor, you provide effective customer service at the check lanes in the front-end department. You also assist the store team with tasks related to pricing, preventative maintenance, and electronic systems support. This role involves utilizing technology to complete various activities and tasks, creating positive customer experiences, and handling transactions accurately.

Requirements

18 years of age or older
Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually
Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary
Desire to work with customers
Good verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
Friendly outgoing attitude
Ability to operate cashier register system

Responsibilities

Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks
Create ‘WOW’ moments that have a positive and lasting impact on our customers
Complete transactions, handle money in all forms responsibly and maintain accuracy of point-of-sale purchases
Utilize handheld devices and computers to complete price changes, or ad corrections
Print and hang ad corrections or signage as needed
Complete inventory on store handheld devices and printers
Assist with troubleshooting issues with computers, registers, or printers in the store
Partner with Meijer IT Support department
Use good eye contact and body language, displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude
Be prepared to handle customer questions adequately and appropriately
Build trustful relationships with customers to encourage return visits
