About The Position
The Store Support Teammate helps fulfill Buckle’s mission to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for Guests and completes sales support tasks assigned by the Store Manager. The role provides friendly Guest service, processes transactions, supports store operations and merchandising, and helps keep the store clean, organized, and shoppable. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and requires no prior experience or training. It is a seasonal, part-time role in a retail store setting.
Requirements
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and specified Thanksgiving and Christmas dates.
Responsibilities
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and answer questions about the store and its merchandise.
- Work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and the day of or day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based on store and business needs.
- Complete Guest transactions using Point of Sale (POS) software and bag purchases.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, payment and exchange policies, and security practices.
- Recognize security risks and theft and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
- Assist the Operations Manager and/or Visual Merchandiser with merchandising tasks, including preparing displays up to ten feet off the ground, organizing fixtures and shelving, completing price markdowns, and transfers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store.
- Understand and apply Buckle’s Code of Ethics, policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Perform job duties with a high level of Guest service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
