About The Position

The Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Attended Donation Center (ADC), ensuring donors receive exceptional service while leading an efficient, safe, and productive donation operation. This position provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to team members, helping achieve operational goals while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming donation center. Working closely with the Regional Manager, the Store Supervisor promotes employee engagement, supports staffing and training efforts, monitors productivity, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Leadership skills relevant to the responsibilities of this role.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year work experience, retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Attended Donation Center (ADC) operations, ensuring efficient donation flow and productivity.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees by providing timely feedback, recognition, and performance coaching.
• Support corrective action and discipline in accordance with organizational policies.
• Develop employee work schedules, approve time-off requests, and ensure adequate staffing to maintain operational coverage.
• Respond to employee call-offs and adjust schedules as needed to ensure business continuity.
• Partner with the Regional Manager to communicate operational needs, staffing updates, facility concerns, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to employee performance evaluations by documenting performance, providing meaningful feedback, and submitting recommendations to the Regional Manager for review and approval.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional donor service by leading through example.
• Support the achievement of operational, productivity, and customer service goals while fostering employee engagement and a positive work environment.
• Deliver exceptional donor service by warmly greeting and assisting donors while fostering a welcoming and positive donation experience.
• Lead by example and coach team members to provide outstanding customer service and represent Goodwill's mission and values in every interaction.
• Oversee the daily donation process to ensure an efficient workflow, maximize productivity, and optimize the value of donated goods.
• Monitor production performance and support employees in achieving established productivity, quality, and operational goals.
• Train, mentor, and coach employees through ongoing instruction, feedback, and follow-up to promote individual growth and team success.
• Ensure donations are processed in accordance with Goodwill's quality standards, including proper sorting, pricing, tagging, and handling procedures.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety, asset protection, and operational policies.
• Report safety concerns, facility issues, and operational needs to the Regional Manager.
• Accurately complete and maintain required reports, operational documentation, and production records in a timely manner.
• Order and maintain appropriate operational supplies while managing departmental expenses responsibly.

• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the Attended Donation Center and the organization.
