About The Position

The Store Stocker receives and stocks automotive parts. The role involves moving materials from receiving areas to storage and other designated locations, organizing inventory, assembling customer orders, and preparing parcels for shipment. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and being able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach upper shelves. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with some overtime potentially required. The role is full-time, salaried, and reports to the Store Manager, with no direct reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Attention to detail.
• 0 to 3 years of warehouse experience.
• Good to above-average computer skills.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen that meets company guidelines.
• Able to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required.
• Able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach upper shelves.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to perform reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and carrying during a typical 9-hour day.
• Heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more may be required.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage and other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves, or convey them to the packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information and open boxes, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for warehouse distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Use a computer to enter records.
• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
