About The Position

Mud Bay’s Store Staff Members are the heart of Mud Bay. They are flexible, friendly, and focused on providing everyone who walks through our doors an outstanding experience. This is a part-time position, with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of 16 hours per week. Team members are required to attend a monthly store meeting from 8:30-9:30a on the 2nd Tuesday each month. There are 3 different availabilities to choose from: Availability 1: Flexible availability is needed Sunday/Monday/Wednesday/Thursday. Shifts will vary, but can typically look like: Sunday 8:30a-2p, Monday 9:30a-2p, Wednesday 3:45-7:45p, and Thursday 4-8p. Availability 2: Flexible availability is needed Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday. Shifts will vary, but can typically look like: Monday 3:45-7:45p, Tuesday 3:45-7:45p, Friday 4-8p, Saturday 3-7p. Availability 3: Flexible availability is needed Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday. Shifts will vary, but can typically look like: Sunday 10:30-2p, Tuesday 9:30-1:30p, Wednesday 3:45-7:45, Saturday 3:30-730p.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys
Has a passion to continuously learn about dogs, cats and small animals
Instinctively gracious: genuinely enjoys making others feel welcome
Highly accountable: follows through on commitments
Has integrity: says and does what she or he believes to be right
Uses good judgment: makes rational, ethical decisions aimed toward long-term goals and outcomes
A self-starter, but happy to take direction and learn from others

Performs transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing registers
