Requirements

Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good team skills.
Self-motivated.
Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).
Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates.
Ability to locate and identify product for customers.
Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35-50 lbs.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
BFOQ - Must be a female who has received her own personal endowments and possesses a current temple recommend.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 20 lbs.
Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation.
Excellent team skills.

Responsibilities

Exhibit exceptional, world-class sales and customer service skills by selling Deseret Book products and services.
Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping.
Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation.
Sell LDS Church curriculum and clothing products in a retail store environment.
Assist customers with proper fit and usage of clothing items and other related products.
Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, gift-wrapping, etc.
Ability to resolve routine customer problems and negotiate effective solutions.
