About The Position
At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, every purchase and donation helps fund programs that provide hope, support, and assistance to individuals and families in our community. We're looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Retail Sales Associates. Requirements
- Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Retail, cashier, or customer service experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service
- Operate the cash register and accurately process sales transactions
- Assist with opening, closing, and balancing the register as assigned
- Restock merchandise and maintain organized, attractive sales displays
- Sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
- Support daily sales and production goals as part of a team
- Assist donors and customers in a courteous and professional manner
