About The Position

This position issues supplies and tools from storeroom and maintains records of supplies issued and received. Receives and verifies incoming materials.

Requirements

  • Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend, write and communicate in English simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to climb or balance.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Issues and records on appropriate forms, all tools and supplies drawn from storeroom.
  • Cleans, inspects and tags tools for repairs as needed.
  • Receives, verifies, tags and stores incoming freight.
  • Matches receiving documents to company purchase order paperwork.
  • Using the computer system, generate work orders, and perform inventory and equipment inquiries necessary to support maintenance personnel.
  • Conducts inventory checks as required.
  • Investigate discrepancies between physical count and inventory record.
  • Maintains storeroom in a neat and orderly fashion with special attention to correct locations of items.
