About The Position

Nott Company is looking for a Nott Parker Store Representative who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and learning how things work. Our customers rely on us when a machine, truck, or piece of equipment is down and they need the right part or a quick solution. You'll be the person they turn to for help finding the right hose, connector, adapter, or other component to get the job done.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a natural curiosity about how things work.
  • A willingness and ability to learn technical products, applications, and terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think through customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn systems such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and ERP software.
  • Ability to read and understand basic technical information, drawings, or specifications; training will be provided.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or fluid power education is a plus, but not required.
  • Customer service experience in a retail, business-to-business, automotive, industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to customers at the counter, by phone and email.
  • Listen to customer needs, ask the right questions, and help identify the right product or solution for their application.
  • Learn to identify, cross-reference, and recommend parts, hoses, fittings, adapters, and other technical products.
  • Enter orders, process invoices and customer payments, and troubleshoot order issues.
  • Assist customers with will-call orders, paperwork, part pulling, and packaging as needed.
  • Learn to fabricate hose assemblies to meet customer requirements.
  • Use online catalogs, product resources, and other tools to research products and find solutions.
  • Help troubleshoot application issues and provide product recommendations.
  • Build strong customer relationships and support customer retention efforts.
  • Assist the Customer Service team with fulfilling customer orders as needed.
  • Keep the store, showroom, and product displays clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready.
  • Support new product displays and marketing initiatives.
  • Complete required reports accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
