About The Position

Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Store Replenishment Specialist provides support to the Corporate Stores team. This role involves managing the purchase and replenishment of goods, materials, and services to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. The specialist will also prepare procurement documents, verify invoice accuracy, stay informed about market trends, and communicate lead times to various departments. Additionally, they will make recommendations for managing material shortages and implement alternative arrangements to minimize operational impact, all while adhering to purchasing policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the distribution industry.
  • Relevant experience in the aftermarket industry.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Mandatory bilingualism (French and English), including written communication and proofreading.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced to Expert-level Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase and place orders for goods, materials, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate all purchasing activities with warehouse inventory managers to ensure the prompt delivery and receipt of goods and/or services.
  • Prepare and administer tenders, requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and other supplier-related documents.
  • Verify invoice information, product details, shipping dates, quantities, and shipping methods to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay informed about pricing trends, market changes, restrictions, or any other variables that may impact purchasing strategies.
  • Communicate lead times required to obtain products or services to various departments.
  • Make recommendations and suggest alternatives to the Purchasing Manager regarding anticipated or unexpected material shortages.
  • Implement alternative arrangements in the event of shortages or delivery delays to minimize operational impact.
  • Adhere to and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
