About The Position

Our thrift stores play a vital role in funding our Adult Rehabilitation Centers and providing affordable shopping options to our neighbors. This role is for a Retail Store Processor at the Broad Ripple Location. The work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.
Requirements
- Ability to process donated merchandise
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
- High school diploma or currently pursuing
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army

- Previous retail or thrift store experience
Responsibilities
- Sort, tag, and price merchandise
- Help track and report production numbers
- Move processed merchandise to sales floor
- Provide friendly, helpful service to donors
- Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
- Maintain clean work and storage spaces
- Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
- May make bank runs, price items, or cross train in another department
