About The Position

Giant Tiger is seeking a friendly, motivated Store Operations Associate to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring customers have a great experience and find the products they need at the right price. The Store Operations Associate will be responsible for various operational tasks, including cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining store standards.

Requirements

• Effective analytical and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous experience in a retail environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (customers, vendors, other third party)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Balancing the cash registers
• Preparing bank deposits and entering information for daily cash report
• Training associates on SKU / pricing related issues, printing signs and labels and operating the RF unit
• Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of perpetual inventory and product pricing
• Prepare and participate in cycle counts
• Following the best practices when receiving and processing merchandise
• Ensuring health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
• Ensuring Loss prevention best practices are followed
