STORE MERCHANDISER/STOCKER
About The Position
Serves and orders products for customers by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be as assigned. Serves customers assigned by ensuring that all deliveries are properly worked by stocking our designated shelves and displays; ensuring that back stock is properly broken down and placed on appropriate pallets, bunkers, or trailers in an organized fashion; gathering all shells/flats, pallets to be picked up, and damage or out of date be bundled and placed in the pickup area for the next delivery. Communicates issues, problems, or opportunities with the sales and delivery team. Be aware of new product offering(s), sales events/promotions, and display opportunities. Adheres to a daily schedule and ensures each account is serviced daily. Must adapt to any changes in work assignments and support organizational restructuring efforts. Inspects and maintains customers’ shelves, end caps, and other allocated spaces to ensure they are clean and neat. Audits and pulls out-of-date or damaged products, and rotates products to maintain the freshest product level possible. Follows all company policies and procedures set forth by management.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license meeting acceptable criteria
- Must provide an insurance declaration of insurance document showing minimum coverage of $100K/$300K/$100K
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds using an electric pallet jack or cart
- Specific vision abilities required: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to climb or balance
- Must pass a criminal background check and a motor vehicle driver check
Responsibilities
- Stocking designated shelves and displays
- Breaking down back stock and placing it on appropriate pallets, bunkers, or trailers
- Gathering shells/flats and pallets for pickup
- Bundling and placing damaged or out-of-date items in the pickup area
- Communicating issues, problems, or opportunities with the sales and delivery team
- Staying aware of new product offerings, sales events/promotions, and display opportunities
- Adhering to a daily schedule and servicing each account daily
- Adapting to changes in work assignments and supporting organizational restructuring efforts
