About The Position

The Pit Stop Store Manager is responsible for independently overseeing the full day-to-day operations of a convenience store with a strong focus on maximizing sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strict adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, policies, and procedures while serving as a professional role model. The manager forecasts sales, manages gross margins, controls inventory and cash, supervises vendors, ensures compliance with tribal, federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations, and maintains established operating procedures. The position also involves operating G-Site sales software, providing customer service when needed, ensuring a safe environment for customers and employees, and maintaining knowledge of surrounding amenities, services, promotions, and events to effectively assist guests. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Pit Stop Store Manager leads and develops staff by hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, enforcing discipline, and recommending promotions or terminations. The manager fosters open communication, motivates employees through goal setting and constructive feedback, supports organizational change, and promotes a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Financial accountability includes preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions to meet departmental objectives. The role demands flexibility to work under pressure, including irregular hours, weekends, and holidays, ongoing participation in leadership development programs, and the ability to meet physical and mental demands of the job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant management experience.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screenings.
  • Maintenance of required licenses and certifications, including a gaming license, valid New Mexico driver’s license, and SERV Safe certification.
