About The Position

Playa Bowls is New Jersey's Original Acai Shop, founded in 2014 with a mission to serve high-quality, innovative products that support healthier lifestyles and inspire fun, excitement, and togetherness. We live our brand through our actions and community relationships, aiming to provide every guest with a delicious bowl delivered with authenticity and passion. What began small has grown into a 200-unit operator and franchisor of a leading fast-casual restaurant concept. Our local franchise team consists of owner-operators with 5 Playa Bowls stores, comprised of 4 families dedicated to finding the right people to run great businesses with, ultimately improving the lives of employees and their families. We are hands-on, local, and committed to making this an empowering experience for everyone involved in building and growing together.

Requirements

  • Previous Managerial Experience

Responsibilities

  • Create & maintain a high-performance constructive team culture focused on quality, cleanliness, customer experience, & operational excellence
  • Manage costs to hit & uphold COGs & other expense standards
  • Check products to ensure consistency, palatability, and quality
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations
  • Project, place, schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to make sure it’s up to Company Standards
  • Schedule staff hours utilizing appropriate systems/software and assign duties to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation
  • Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety
  • Perform food preparation and service tasks
  • Maintain food and equipment inventories
  • Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, hire on-board & train new staff, and evaluate employee performances
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services with vendors & officials
  • Utilize & troubleshoot POS system, operate & reconcile cash register and make bank deposits.
  • Adhere to company opening and closing procedures and maintain accompanying records
