About The Position

The Store Manager role is responsible for delivering a consistent and positive customer experience that drives top-line sales growth and profitability. This position identifies business needs and partners with the Sr. Store Manager to develop strategic plans to meet those needs and increase sales. The role requires a detailed focus on controllable variables to drive store KPIs and motivate staff daily. The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their store location with concentration in sales goals & KPIs, customer service, visual merchandising, and team building.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Store Manager
  • Proven dedication and loyalty to their brands
  • Proven ability to drive sales results
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business
  • Skilled at delivering thoughtful and appropriate positive and developmental feedback
  • Seeks feedback from business partners and cultivates an environment that encourages open conversation around opportunities to personally develop
  • Comfort in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment
  • Ability to address complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and change priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to identify top talent and train/develop/retain great people
  • Experience creating schedules and managing time & attendance
  • Proficient in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Building and managing a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Providing exceptional customer service, including responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Understanding company set KPIs and identifying strategies when performance standards are not met
  • Reviewing reports on sales performance and market trends
  • Setting goals, tracking progress, and holding sales representatives accountable for meeting objectives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with prospect/established customers and partners
  • Creating and executing recruitment strategies that will attract top talent to the company
  • Creating sales strategies to achieve targets/goals
  • Attending and/or initiating events outside the four walls of our stores to showcase the brand and either operate a short-lived pop-up shop or host an event
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with retail business partners, sharing the state of the business, updates on their team, ideas for consideration, opportunities, and successes
  • Mentoring and coaching sales representatives to improve their performance and help them achieve their goals
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure company-wide alignment and success
  • Supervising inventory management, including regular cycle counting, monitoring stock movements, and executing inventory audits
  • Developing operational strategies to increase productivity, minimize waste, and reduce costs
  • Maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
  • Partnering with Sr Retail Operations Manager to streamline standard operating procedures
  • Balancing store needs with company needs such as Ship From Store orders, events, inventory consolidations etc
  • Building team schedules that support the needs of the business and align with payroll budgets
  • Maintaining cleanliness standards on the sales floor and in back of house
  • Being cognizant of operational budgets when ordering supplies and other store needs
  • Following all visual merchandising standards and strategies
  • Training and communicating current collection knowledge to the team
  • Implementing training programs for employees, focusing on different product launches and brand initiatives
  • Assessing business by division and category to understand store strengths and opportunities and developing priority focuses for the team based on product performance
  • Partnering with Sr Store Manager to develop store-based product specific focuses to target category or style specific sales
  • Developing a deep understanding of how the product assortment supports the brand mission
  • Encouraging staff to try on new products to better assist customers and increase store conversion rate
