About The Position
Kuppa Joy is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations and support the store manager. This role involves leading shifts, delegating tasks, coaching team members, and ensuring the Kuppa Joy experience is consistently delivered. The Store Manager helps maintain operational standards and creates a positive, high-performing team environment during each shift. Store Managers model Kuppa Joy values and help drive excellence across all five operational pillars: Customer Service, Food & Drink Quality, Cleanliness, Teamwork, and Asset Protection. This position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to grow into higher levels of leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Kuppa Joy Barista (Internal Applicants)
- In good standing (Internal Applicants)
- Consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations (Internal Applicants)
- Demonstrate leadership maturity, reliability, and ownership of their current role (Internal Applicants)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience (External Applicants)
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, coach, and hold others accountable (External Applicants)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills (External Applicants)
- California Food Handler Certification (must obtain upon hire)
- Completion of pre-employment assessments
- Participation in a video interview

Responsibilities
- Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Create meaningful customer interactions, set the tone for the shift, and coach team members to prioritize connection and engagement.
- Ensure all beverages and food items meet Kuppa Joy standards by following recipes, presentation guidelines, and quality expectations.
- Support training and provide real-time coaching to maintain consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing café.
- Delegate and execute cleaning tasks throughout the shift and ensure both front and back of house meet company standards.
- Lead the floor during assigned shifts by delegating tasks, maintaining flow, and supporting team performance.
- Provide clear, respectful, and timely coaching to develop team members and improve performance.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling, safety, and security.
- Communicate operational needs, report issues, and support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Complete required trainings and certifications in a timely manner.
