About The Position

The NAPA Auto Parts Store Manager position is a leadership role focused on overseeing the general business management of a market-leading store. The manager is responsible for achieving maximum market penetration, driving store growth, protecting inventory and assets, and increasing sales and profitability by creating a superior customer experience. This role provides daily leadership to all store personnel and establishes a work experience that supports the company's Purpose, Mission, and Values. Louisiana Machinery Company, operating NAPA Auto Parts stores, offers a wide range of products including automotive, specialized tooling, hardware, filtration, and aftermarket parts for heavy-duty truck, heavy equipment, marine, and industrial applications. They also provide full hydraulic hose capabilities and repair services.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet Louisiana Machinery Company driving requirements.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office software including Outlook.
  • Capable of operating TAMS point-of-sale system and cataloging.
  • Ability to process cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and is self-motivated.
  • Excellent understanding of all retail store positions.
  • Ability to achieve quotas regularly; proficient in achieving goals and KPIs set by Louisiana Machinery Company.
  • Sound decision-making capability.
  • Proficient people/leadership skills.
  • Must live within 40-mile radius of the store.
  • Must be able and willing to travel for overnight stays for meetings, training, inventory, and other events as required.
  • Must be willing to relocate within the state of Louisiana for future advancement opportunities.

  • Technical or college degree.
  • ASE parts certification.
  • Experience in heavy parts and service.

Responsibilities

  • Instill safety in everything you do.
  • Increase store sales, profits, and operational performance.
  • Protect and maintain the security of store inventory and assets.
  • Work and communicate with the district manager to establish initiatives and business plans.
  • Develop, update, and execute annual budgets and action plans with the district manager.
  • Work with outside sales representatives in the identification, development, and maintenance of new and existing customers.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and implement strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service for both retail and wholesale customers.
  • Build a store team that consistently delivers high levels of customer service and business results, coaching them to achieve sales and delivery success.
  • Coordinate planning and collaborate on the development, assessment, implementation, and tracking of store growth initiatives.
  • Ensure merchandise is received and stocked in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure delivery vehicles are kept in safe working order and maintained to positively represent the company.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the store, stock room, and outside areas.
  • Partner with the district manager and human resources for recruitment and employee relations.
  • Perform other assignments and duties as assigned.
