Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. This position is responsible for providing a clean and eye-appealing environment for the customer shopping experience. The Store Manager must maintain positive relations with all customers and resolve any product or service dissatisfaction issues promptly and professionally. They will ensure proper service levels around the store and shift labor as needed, and oversee the activities of the Building Services department within a single retail location. Maintaining a professional relationship with in-house, local and state health/sanitation inspectors is also a key responsibility.
