About The Position

We are seeking a Store Manager to lead our Normal, IL store. This role is about leading people and creating an environment where the team shows up the right way, leading to positive results. The focus is on creating a space where people want to work and shop, owning the in-store experience with genuine, helpful, and human interactions. The team listens, guides, and problem-solves rather than just selling. The Store Manager sets clear standards, is consistent, direct, and present, supporting the team while expecting a lot from them. Results matter, and how they are achieved is equally important.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of retail management experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience leading teams and driving performance
  • Clear, direct, and honest communication
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Adaptable—able to adjust in real time and keep moving forward
  • Organized and able to prioritize what actually matters
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Comfortable with basic technology and communication tools
  • A genuine focus on developing others

Responsibilities

  • Shape how the team shows up by coaching in the moment, handling difficult conversations with clarity and respect, building people up, and challenging them simultaneously.
  • Create an environment where people feel supported and accountable, understanding that team growth leads to overall success.
  • Create momentum and sustain it.
  • Create an experience people remember by focusing on details that make people feel good, ensuring a welcoming showroom, a team that listens first, and follow-through that builds trust.
  • Keep the operation grounded by staying aware of inventory, merchandising, and store flow.
  • Partner closely with Operations and Merchandising.
  • Ensure behind-the-scenes work supports the floor operations.
  • Connect the dots so the team can focus on people.
  • Build a team people want to be part of, characterized by high support, high expectations, and no egos.
  • Invite and utilize feedback.
  • Adapt when something isn't working.
  • Create a team people are proud of.
