Responsible for the management of all employees in the effective planning and implementation of all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. The Store Manager will recruit, select and retain qualified employees, provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and make recommendations regarding employee pay and advancement. They will ensure the store is properly staffed and effectively opened and closed each day, personally opening the store a minimum of two times per week and closing it a minimum of two times per week. The Store Manager will evaluate operating statements to identify business trends, expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors. They will order merchandise to meet or exceed in-stock targets, review ordering plans, and follow up on inventory management issues. The role involves facilitating efficient merchandise staging, stocking, and storage, ensuring merchandise is presented according to established practices, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. Financial integrity of the store is paramount, requiring strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to security and cash control procedures. The Store Manager is expected to provide superior customer service leadership, maintain a clean and organized store, and ensure a safe and secure working and shopping environment. They must also ensure the store is adequately equipped with necessary tools, follow company policies and procedures, and complete all required paperwork and documentation.
