About The Position

CHAGEE (pronounced CHAH-jee) is a modern teahouse with over 7,500 locations globally, committed to bringing people together through tea. We are awakening a modern tea movement, grounded in authentic heritage, fueled by innovation, and crafted to nourish body and spirit. With a significant global presence serving millions of cups of tea monthly, CHAGEE is expanding to the US market and seeking individuals to be part of this exciting journey. This role is a full-time Store Manager position located at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, reporting to Corporate Operations and supervising an Assistant Store Manager, Shift Lead, and Baristas.

Requirements

  • Passionate tea lover!
  • 2+ years of People Management experience in a food & beverage store environment.
  • ServSafe Manager Training Required (Company can assist).
  • Excellent communications and leadership skills.
  • Fast learner and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to travel to other store locations or training facilities within a 30-mile radius as needed.
  • Work well as part of a team with a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn other responsibilities and ad-hoc assignments.
  • Availability to participate in company’s training when necessary.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Barista experience: 2+ years (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a fantastic team, ensuring high-quality and excellent customer service, consistent product quality, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Train and manage the training progress of all new store employees, including coaching Shift Leads & Baristas through On-Job-Training (OJT).
  • Plan store schedules, assign team members to shifts and duties, and monitor staff attendance and punctuality.
  • Manage all staff issues, including discipline and performance reviews.
  • Handle customer feedback with sincerity and coach team members on creating solutions and remedies.
  • Be responsible for store cash handling matters according to company rules and regulations.
  • Manage store sales performance by setting, managing, and reporting on sales goals.
  • Assist in marketing & promotional activities to attract top talent and drive revenue targets.
  • Lead inventory management, ensuring store inventory is arranged and managed properly, forecasting inventory usage and delivery, and ordering necessary inventory.
  • Work with and manage all vendor relationships.
