About The Position

At Five Below, the Store Manager role is pivotal, driving an exceptional store experience by balancing operations, team development, and customer satisfaction. This position is for leaders who are ready to lead from the floor, energize a team, and deliver results. Store Managers are expected to lead with purpose, build a high-performing team, and foster a positive, fun, and high-performing culture. They are the face, voice, and pace of the store, responsible for growing a powerhouse team through coaching and feedback, ensuring smooth operations, managing labor effectively, and driving sales by modeling selling behaviors and guiding their team. The role requires integrity, accountability, and the ability to adapt quickly to changes.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience where you’ve led teams and delivered results
  • Experience managing a store or large department
  • Comfort leading in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Creative thinking
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience preferred
  • Promotion from assistant or co-manager roles is a big plus
