You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing your team, overseeing all aspects of the retail business including budgets and sales targets, and creating an environment that fosters strong customer and staff experiences, alongside operational excellence. Requirements

  • 3-5 years managing in a retail environment.
  • Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills.
  • Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the shop including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with consultation-based customer service models.
  • Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback.
  • Strong record of accomplishment of developing retail staff careers.
  • Proficient in excel, Microsoft suit, and adaptable to other systems as required.
  • Experience in cross cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique and inclusive customer experience.
  • Educate customers and staff on brand values, including Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging.
  • Increase product knowledge and make informed product recommendations.
  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with the American business strategy to achieve KPIs and sales goals.
  • Coach and develop the team by creating development plans, encouraging learning, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a diverse team and create an inclusive environment by prioritizing DEIB training and initiatives.
  • Address performance concerns with empathy and create action plans to improve staff engagement.
  • Form teams with diverse styles, perspectives, and experience, ensuring equal employment opportunity practices.
  • Ensure shop compliance with company standards for time and attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace, health and safety, and daily communication within budget.
  • Manage stock and inventory, ensuring correct products and amounts are in store, and manage orders, inventory, and waste within budget.
  • Create and execute merchandising plans and train the team to maintain a clean and beautiful work environment according to standards.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill sets are scheduled during peak times, managing breaks and payroll accuracy within the labor budget.
