About The Position

Furniture Fair is hiring a store manager and assistant store managers for our new store located in Lexington, KY. We are looking for experienced individuals with a drive to lead by example. Managers must be ready to take charge on all sales initiatives and keep salespeople engaged and motivated to help customers find the products they are seeking. Managers will be responsible for helping customers in-store and keeping things running to the best of their abilities. Store managers at Furniture Fair must demonstrate superior people skills, a motivating attitude, strong computer and phone skills, organizational skills with an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales team members, and other offices in and out of the company. Requirements

  • Drive to Succeed
  • A passion for developing people.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Experience with tablet/IPad technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Presentation Skills in a sales environment
  • Desire to be part of something big.
  • Minimum of three years experience in at least TWO of the following areas: Sales, Design, Retail Sales Management

  • Sales Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Interior design: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Furniture sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bedding and Mattress Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Sales management: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of achievement in the sales team by encouraging reps to hit or exceed their quotas
  • Mentor and train sales reps to improve performance, reduce turnover, and provide on-the-job support
  • Develop our sales team by recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new salespeople
  • Analyze previous sales periods to create accurate forecasts
  • Track performance metrics
  • Coach and drive sales
  • Set personal and team goals/achieve goals
  • Foster Teamwork
  • Focus on developing full room solutions and encourage in-home style consultations.
