About The Position

With over 50 retail stores across the country, Urban Barn is a national retail chain offering high-quality furniture and home décor. We’re all about making our customers and employees feel right at home. Here, you will enrich the customer experience while growing your experience with a well-known Canadian retailer. Provide the guidance and leadership for our sales team within an inspiring furniture and home décor store. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for creating an excellent customer and employee experience while achieving sales targets and promotional results for your store. You work with the Regional Manager to ensure continued improvement of overall store performance in sales and culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Retail Sales Management
- Experience developing top sales teams and stretching individuals to their full potential
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate
- Ability to effectively communicate – provide and receive feedback in the moment
- Commitment to a flexible schedule (Open to daytime, evening, and weekend shifts)
- The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg

Responsibilities
- Motivate your team to deliver the best customer experience
- Recruit and retain the best talent for your store location
- Communicate your expectations to the team and provide training, coaching, and feedback
- Manage store merchandising, inventory, and shrink
- Lead and maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store
- Grow and manage the business within your community, representing the brand in a professional manner
