Manages, leads and operates a retail store and donation center. This role involves directing activities for the retail store to ensure satisfactory financial support for the organization by managing sales and production, controlling expenses and payroll budgets, handling personnel issues, accounting, merchandising, loss prevention, and staff development. The Store Manager is responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training all new hires, as well as supervising staff and fulfilling staffing needs. They coordinate shipments, manage daily sales reports and cash receipts, and foster a positive work environment. This position also involves implementing seasonal plans, floor sets, signage, and sales promotions, reporting security issues, and working with various liaisons to ensure program effectiveness. The Store Manager directly supervises store employees, carrying out responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and managing budgets. They may also perform subordinate duties as needed, serve on the Donated Goods Retail Management Team, and report the need for building and equipment repairs.
