About The Position
Käthe Wohlfahrt of America is bringing the magic of a traditional German Christmas market to Aurora, and we're looking for an experienced retail leader to manage our seasonal Christmas Village store. This is a hands-on Store Manager position with responsibility for hiring and leading the seasonal team, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining our distinctive visual merchandising standards, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the store.
Requirements
- Retail management or supervisory experience; 2–5 years preferred
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing a fast-paced seasonal retail environment
- Availability for weekends, evenings and holidays during the market season
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.; team lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train and lead seasonal store staff
- Coach the team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage scheduling and payroll within budget
- Oversee daily store operations, receiving and inventory
- Maintain visual merchandising and presentation standards
- Resolve customer service issues
- Build an engaged, motivated team through regular communication and recognition
