As a Store Manager, you will be a charismatic leader with exceptional service and sales skills, reporting to the Multi-Site Leader. Your role is to drive the growth and awareness of Mejuri within your store and market. You are passionate about leading teams, leading by example, building motivation, and fostering an environment that embodies Mejuri's values. You will serve as the ultimate brand ambassador, responsible for creating a highly productive store environment that exceeds customer expectations and cultivates an engaging, inclusive atmosphere where employees are motivated and supported. You will celebrate milestones with your team, focus on their growth and development, and maintain a high level of engagement. Your responsibilities include managing all aspects of profit, customer experience, people management, merchandising, and operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to exceed targets.

Requirements

  • Experience in a high-volume retail environment.
  • Understanding of the local market and requirements relevant to new store openings.
  • Financial management experience with success in driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a track record of attracting, developing, and motivating top talent, swiftly adapting to change, and leading others through fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Deep local knowledge and informed of trends in retail; well-connected and able to navigate and grow networks.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, understanding the importance of experimentation and iteration.
  • Proficient in using point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other retail technology.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial health and profitability of your store, driving revenue and exceeding targets.
  • Lead by example and uphold Mejuri’s customer service model by communicating, training, and validating the quality of the in-store customer experience.
  • Maximize results and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by driving own performance as well as the performance and engagement of the team.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience and promote service offerings including piercing, engraving, and other services.
  • Partner with Operations teams to conduct successful inventory and cycle counts monthly, ensuring teams have proper technology and troubleshooting guidance.
  • Manage the back-of-house flow to support in-store sales, phone sales, or BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up In Store), ensuring efficiency with packaging and order delivery standards.
  • Maintain organizational integrity of the BOH, including display inventory, sellable inventory, packaging, and all supplies.
  • Accountable for mitigating internal, external, and administrative loss of product.
  • Identify and escalate opportunities, gaps, risks, and roadblocks with urgency, partnering with cross-functional teams as needed for resolution.
  • Ensure Mejuri brand standards of visual presentation, cleanliness, and functionality are met.
  • Monitor assortment performance to create a productive sales environment and determine action steps to improve sell-through.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all retail campaign signage and windows.
  • Validate the integrity of all display forms, graphics, furniture, and decor items, notifying appropriate teams when display tools are missing or damaged.
  • Coach and inform all store team members on updates or changes to Visual Merchandising standard practices.
  • Ensure the right people are in the right positions at the right time and in the right quantities across your stores.
  • Own the sourcing, assessment, and selection of talent to build the necessary infrastructure for business growth.
  • Validate and participate in the successful integration of new talent into store teams.
  • Validate that team members are completing required training (instructor-led, on-the-job, and self-study).
  • Ensure store schedules are supported with high-quality and accurate inputs and uphold responsible live-week management standards.
  • Validate the regular and accurate assessment of people against performance review criteria and KPIs.
  • Build healthy relationships with team members and establish a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Adhere to and validate compliance practices, partnering with People Operations to resolve escalations.
