Requirements

  • 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably within a garden center, nursery, greenhouse, or related retail environment, with the ability to build strong teams and maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and build strong relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and leadership.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
  • Self-directed, dependable, and flexible in changing retail and seasonal conditions.
  • Comfortable using POS and inventory systems while working in active retail and greenhouse environments that require extended standing, lifting, and exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Committed to teamwork, customer service, and supporting a collaborative, hardworking culture.
  • Experience with POS operating systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for the Lititz retail location, including nursery, greenhouse, garden center, design, and customer service departments.
  • Lead, coach, & support department managers, team leads, and retail associates across seasonal operations.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, team development, performance management, and shared store opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Maintain high standards for store presentation, safety, operational consistency, and customer experience across the store and nearby retail locations.
  • Partner with department leaders and buyers to support merchandising, purchasing, inventory management, and seasonal product planning.
  • Monitor store performance metrics, support revenue and profitability goals, and ensure accuracy in POS and inventory systems.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach.
