The Associate Store Manager partners with the General Manager to ensure the store meets or exceeds sales and contest goals. This role involves meeting payroll goals, prioritizing, planning, and adjusting schedules to meet business objectives, and holding the team accountable for achieving goals. The Associate Store Manager also plays a key role in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates to build a talent pipeline. They are responsible for training and motivating associates through ongoing programs in sales, customer service, and product knowledge, as well as assessing performance and providing feedback. A primary focus is ensuring the team delivers an exceptional customer experience to achieve World Class Service standards through effective floor management and staff coverage. The role also includes maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring store standards are met (visuals, cleanliness, signage, safety), and managing store-operating procedures like inventory levels and cash control to minimize losses. The Associate Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the store meets company guidelines for opening and closing, monitoring company assets through accurate inventory procedures, and ensuring associates comply with all Company policies and procedures. They are also tasked with creating and maintaining an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with the People First Philosophy.
